A Jordanian with an American passport has been arrested in Belgrade.
The man was restrained as he fumbled with the control of an emergency exit door as the Lufthansa plane flew from Frankfurt to Belgrade the German airline has reported.
According to sky news, the passengers who subdued him kept the man restrained for the rest of the flight.
He threatened to bring down the plane and cried out that he wished to join Allah along with all the passengers, according to RTS.
